Personal Project
The space station was ready and the Grand Promenade was filled with Space Penguins from every colony in search for a hands on experience in a newly discovered planet. At the middle of the Promenade stood the statues of five famous Space Penguins, Adélie, Førsteri, Magellan, Dr Blåbär and Von Humboldt. Their scientific contributions and field measurements across the cosmos set the foundations for the modern navigation system, particle collection cells, superconductors and levitation systems, clean energy engines and photosynthetic batteries. From here, the new recruits would be able to enroll in new R&D Programs as well as field training on the planet’s surface and follow Von Humboldt and his team’s steps to develop their future solutions.
I decided to pick these Penguins as their heroes because they were named after explorers who contributed to the development of modern science. Especially Alexander Von Humboldt who influenced the work of artists, explorers and scientists, like Goethe, Volta & Darwin, through his measurements and experiments across different regions of the world.

As Andrea Wulf describes him in The Invention of Nature (2015), "he was one of the most captivating and inspiring men, celebrated for his knowledge and scientific thinking, who viewed nature as a global force with corresponding climate zones across continents, a concept that still colors our understanding of ecosystems and, after observations at Lake Valencia's deforestation in Venezuela, said that mankind's intervention could have an incalculable effect on the climate and have an impact on future generations". With that, he was in essence talking about man-made climate change.

I'll surely draw more about those five penguins in the future.
